Terms of service

Last updated 15 August 2026

By using Devlog you agree to what follows. It is written to be read rather than skimmed past.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your API keys and access tokens to yourself. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

Workspaces

A workspace owner is responsible for who they invite and for what their organisation does with the logs it collects — including complying with whatever employment and data-protection law applies where their people work.

Removing someone from a workspace does not delete the entries they wrote while they were in it. Those remain the workspace's record of work performed.

Credits and subscriptions

Credits are consumed when a day's log is generated and saved. Prices are those shown at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period.

Where you supply your own AI provider key, that provider bills you directly and those charges are between you and them.

What the summaries are

Generated summaries and hour estimates are produced by a language model from the activity you supply. They are a drafting aid. You review and approve every entry before it is written, and you are responsible for its accuracy — particularly where it feeds a timesheet, an invoice, or a performance review.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and will not pretend to guarantee it. Scheduled runs depend on third parties — GitHub, GitLab, your AI provider — and an outage at any of them can delay a log.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or to breach these terms.
